Feng Shui – What is it?
Over 3,000 years ago, Chinese farmers established a religious science that developed out of Taoism called Feng Shui meaning wind water. Feng Shui is the belief that by living in harmony with nature and adjusting our homes, businesses, and yards to adapt to geological alignments in physical elements, we will be healthy, wealthy, and wise.
It is also called geomancy, a form of divination.
Feng Shui teaches that there is an energy called Chi flowing throughout the universe in lines, sometimes called meridians or channels. It claims to balance the Yin and Yang in the environment.
It resembles astrology in some aspects.
Feng Shui, the ancient art of creating balance and harmony with the forces of nature and our personal space, can be beneficial to whomever uses its principles. It gives time-tested guidelines to utilize the power of place -- from the shape of a building to the location of your bed. And just as we affect our environment, our environment affects us. By putting ourselves in the best possible space, we derive the greatest benefits of peace and prosperity.
There is a tangible and an intangible dimension to Feng Shui. The tangible side considers the placement of the physical features such as the landscape, and layout of the building. The intangible dimension creates the ‘feel’ and flavor of a building. It is important that the physical features are beautiful and that doors, furniture and landscaping elements are positioned correctly, but this alone is not enough. The intangible aspects of Feng Shui need also be taken into consideration if the building is to feel right and you are to live a happy life there.
These aspects are calculated using traditional Feng Shui formulas. I use them to create an individual map of the various influences that determine the feel and flavor of your building. These influences consist of various forms of Chi. It covers a number of unseen influences that affect you in your building. This unique map shows you the best areas for activity and business, and the best areas for rest, health and communication in your building. It also informs you how to best decorate in order to achieve harmonious living.
If you ignore this intangible dimension, you may end up trying to sleep on an ‘energetic highway’ and then wonder why you can’t sleep or keep 'getting sick. You may have your office in a ‘sleepy zone’ and wonder why you never get anything done.
Call me today for a consultation to determine the changes that may benefit you. We will explore the Wealth areas, the Health areas, the Relationship and Romance areas, just to mention a few.
